Here’s how it works:
To start, we screen all candidates from our global network of 700K+ tech specialists for:
- Tech expertise
- English proficiency
- Motivation to live and work abroad
- Soft skills like communication and the ability to work in an international environment
Based on the assessment results, we assign each candidate to one of two categories:
Candidates who get top scores across the board are certified as Pro Talent.
Pro Talent is available for immediate placement with international employers at standard day rates.
What if a candidate’s tech expertise is on point, but their soft skills or English could use a little work?
If so, they’re certified as a Potential and are eligible to enroll in Tonnie’s Talent Lab here in Portugal, where they get to hone their language and soft skills to become 100% international-ready.
Tonnie’s Talent Lab
Talent Lab by Tonnie enables employers to sponsor high-skilled international specialists through a 12-month post-graduate course by Politécnico de Leiria, one of Portugal’s leading higher education providers.
Sponsored Talent Lab students receive:
- 180 hours of immersive English, tech, and soft skills training;
- +1600 hours of work experience with their sponsor company;
- Airfare, co-living housing, student and work visas, and a scholarship.
What’s in It for You?
As an employer, you get to benefit from our talent’s technical skills at a lower rate – up to 35% less than the average day rate – for the duration of the program.
Talent Lab by Tonnie is not an academy or a bootcamp. You only pay sponsored talent for the hours worked. We cover the rest.
Upon successful completion of the program, your only commitment is to hire your sponsorees for a minimum of 12 months at a predefined market day rate. If they quit before the end of the 12-month period, you get indemnity pay.
